Southern Comfort Join The Campaign Experiential Roadshow

EVENT OVERVIEW – Southern Comfort CANpaign Tour

To promote Southern Comfort’s ready-to-drink pre-mixed can of Southern Comfort, Lemonade & Lime, a CANpaign bus visited locations up and down the country giving out samples of the canned drink and bringing the taste of New Orleans to the people of the UK.

THE BRIEF – An experiential road show to compliment OOH Campaign

GTMS were briefed by Southern Comfort’s advertising agency Kemosabe to create an experiential roadshow to complement their OOH and media advertising campaigns.

Offering a light-hearted alternative to the general election in the form of a CANpaign bus, the tour set off across the country giving out free cans of the new Southern Comfort drink.

THE SOLUTION – A double decker branded wrapped tour bus with all the logistical trimmings

GTMS worked with Kemosabe to create the CANpaign experiential activation, helping to plan the activity, book the venues, offering a complete one-stop shop for production, running the logistics and providing the promotional staff.

A complete vehicle wrap adorned the bus with the interior décor also branded with Southern Comfort imagery and CANpaign colours. The bus housed a social sharing chill out area with an Instagram printer allowing people to share ‘fun’ moments online and win great prizes.

The bus visited locations including; Westfield Hammersmith, London’s Old Spitalfields Market, Manchester’s intu Trafford Centre, The Oracle in Reading, the Birmingham Foodies Festival & the Maverick Festival in Suffolk, as well as spending a day touring London giving out free samples and spreading the party atmosphere.

RESULTS – A success!!!

Over 27,500 cans were distributed across seven fun packed CANpaign dates and the experiential CANpaign helped contribute to a 20% sales uplift during the June/July activation period.
