EVENT OVERVIEW – VIP area branding for Americas Cup
The UK leg of the 2016 Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series sailing race was held in Portsmouth in July, over four days.
THE BRIEF – Print and Install 700m of print and branding within a very short time frame!
With only a three week lead time, Robert Lawrence Productions, who were responsible for creating the VIP hospitality pavilion appointed GTMS to produce and install all of the print for this high profile area.
RESULT – A Fantastic showcase of GTMS’ superior quality print and installation
In total, GTMS printed and installed over 700m of branding for the Americas Cup hospitality pavilion and two of the sponsors, BT Sport and Bremont.
Working with other key suppliers, such as the marquee company and event organisers, as well as the event and council H&S officials, GTMS produced a vast quantity of large format external print with a short lead time and narrow installation window.
The print and branding within the VIP Hospitality Pavilion would be seen by over 130,000 people across the four-day event, therefore the finish, durability, visibility and quality of the print was paramount. The number of TV viewers globally is unknown, but is in addition to this number. The race sponsors, Louis Vuitton invited an elite guest list as well as premium ticket holders. Additionally press, media, event sponsors, race team members and the Prince and Princess of Cambridge enjoyed the inside of the 80m x 20m temporary structure, which was in prime position on the waterfront with great views of the Solent.
