EVENT OVERVIEW – Singapores largest ever Mirror Maze
Science is all around us in ways we never imagined and the Science Centre Singapore wanted to install a huge mirror maze reflecting this to celebrate their 40th birthday. The last time SCS had a mirror maze was over 20years ago and it proved very popular.
THE BRIEF – To build a 270sqm mirror maze
SOLUTION – An installation featuring 105 mirror cells
GTMS built and installed a giant rainbow-hued mirror maze – the largest of its kind in Asia and possibly our best from the 15 we have installed all over the world since 2010.
Working with Adrian Fisher Design (the world’s leading creators of mirror mazes and record holder of seven Guinness World Records) GTMS installed Professor Crackitt’s Light Fantastic Mirror Maze which features 105 mirror cells and 17 interactive exhibits and experiments showcasing the phenomena of lights and mirrors, plus holograms and fake exits to make for a trippy kaleidoscopic experience.
Explorers have to navigate a variety of identical corridors and fake exits and the maze is adorned with holograms and rainbows for an exciting experience.
GTMS designed, printed and built the entire maze in just 3 weeks! The whole set was then airfreighted to Singapore, then installed and commissioned in 2 weeks from start to finish in time for the launch. We supplied all the lighting system and effects, fire egress system, audio, gag cells and central control systems.
